Purple Gidgee (Acacia crombiei)
Hey Folks,
What was the outcome of this thread?
Purple Gidgee - Woodwork Forums
Is this wood anywhere to be found/bought? Any other illicit stashes of amazing woods out there?

haha i am sure you could mate but i just have a few small bits in my collection, no boards...best bet to head out there with a chainsaw or contact local woodmongers groups...in Northern SA area, around Quorn or western Qld.
I have some Black Mulga on the way from WA, hard n dark. I love the desert timbers too, inland rosewood i have some logs off..
Try Stan Ceglinksi or Djalimari in WA for more desert stuff...if that guy in Brookfield cant be contacted, where is he ? did he show at the show? where is the purple stuff gone...mmmmmmmm mystery.....desire.....;-)

Sorry for the wait guys, I had to drag out a couple and clean 'em up a bit. The boards/slabs are only about 4' long x 3" - 7" wide x 5/8" - 1 1/4" thick.
everything is something, for a reason:confused:
