Stoppers should know, Red Gum is all they have where he comes from, lots of the biggest, beautiful bloody trees you have ever seen!
Tend to cut them down to grow vines. Not sure which is best Coona red gum or Coona red wine. I think the latter by a short head(ache).
Seriously, a great wood for turning if slightly unpredictable, in that some of it tends to move around a bit, even though it appears to be absolutely dry.
Watch the dust, it gives me a terrible headache if I neglect to wear my respirator when sanding.

    What would it be worth.

The questions are due to me considering a retirement scheme involving producing a perpetual supply of wood turning timber.

(Buying land with timber on it and replanting it with turning timbers)
