    Default SA timber slab suppliers

    Just wondering if people know the best spots for live edge slabs in South Australia? I see a heap of red gum around but to be honest it's not my cup of tea. Seems as though there is a small supply about for a variety of slab species. Dining table sized slabs is what i'm after.

    I am yet to check out Deyoungs but will be heading there shortly. Any other suggestions? I get tired of interstate freight.

    Hi Hurcorh,
    I found this in an edition of Australian Woodworking magazine. I have never used him, but seems to have a number of species in stock. He also has a public Facebook page.

    Give Tim Creeper a PM, he has heaps of slabs he is feeding to the termites, so you should be able to get a bargain or two. He is near Mount Gambier

    There is a guy on O'Sullivan's Beach Road near the expressway. Cannot remember his name but my son buys all of his timber for his solid wood drums there. I called in one day to check out some stuff and he has tons of rough sawn wood there.
