    Default SE Melb timber supplier

Where are some places I should check out if I want to buy hardwoods?

On my list so far are:
    • Mathews Timber (tends to be more expensive but quality is good)
    • WR Timber (well priced, good range, not a lot of stock on their shelves)
    • Tile importers (standard grade vic ash and jarrah, very well priced)
    • Shiver me timber (I think theyre expensive? Anyone know?)
    • Trend timbers (good range, expensive)
    • mccormack hardwood sales (has select grade Vic Ash rough and DAR well priced)
    • Hazelwood and Hill (good range, ok pricing)

Where else do people go? I would prefer SE Melb/braeside/dandenong/middle to northern morington peninsula sort of areas. ATM WR timber seems to be the best in terms of range and cost. Either way, I hope the list I've made helps others too

In braeside I use Russel Henning timbers I buy by the pack 3 or so cube at a time not sure if they do small orders. At a carbatec night I got to talking with two reps from Brittons (dandy south) and they seem keen to sell to the hobbyist market.
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything, but they
bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs .
