Chris, have you ever been to Kew, south of Port Macquarie? Not far from the forest road there is a finger board pointing to "Australia's Largest Trees". I can't recall the species but about 100 yards in on the walking trail you go past absolute monsters!!! When you finally find "the big one" its actually had to just take in how BIG it really is. Its diameter (Guessing now, its been a while since I was last there) would be 15 metres. Yep 15 metres. They say that when Captain Cook sailed by in 1770 it was a mature tree. There is a whole grove of these big fellas. They seem to grow straight up to about 30 metres then have a small canopy displaying large/big branches that have be snapped off over time. It tends to make one feel quite insignificant next to them
    Just do it!

    Kind regards Rod
