Sycamore Trees being felled.........
Info. . . . . . http://rfs.org.uk/thirdlevel.asp?Thi...SecondLevel=34
I am not too sure about the timber in the sycamore but will be cutting down a lot of my neighbours trees after the leaves fall into my yard and roof again and not to mention the helicopter seeds.
If any one has any interest in this timber please contact me as it is a pity for it to go to waste......you can have all the seeds for free as well.
The link above tells you a bit about the tree ,aparently it is a sought after timber for craft and musical instruments.

It's basically a species of soft maple, but it's a nice woodworking wood
Hopefully someone can find a home for it
Cheers

Thanks Ian,it is a pity to see it go to waste as i don't have the room for it all so would rather give it away then burn it which will happen if no one wants it.
We can put the larger logs through the mill and cut into boards and rack them out for drying but as i said having some where to put it is a problem at this time as we have just cut 24 sassy logs,12 myrtles and 22 silver wattle's and it has taken up all the room i have on my block.
