You can't fool me.
That can't be Mal!!!
I have never seen him that clean.
That big rosewood would test Mal's big bandsaw.
I'll be in touch with Mal when he gets back from Melbourne. I hope he has some of that figured Queensland Maple left.Scally

Any idea where that shot was taken? I recall seeing a similar photo of logging in Tasmania (possibly a log that came out of the Florentine or Styx valleys?). I saw the photo in the '70s, but it's always stuck with me.

up round maryborough
got it from an old mate of me fathers.
the amount of wood that they cut out of the belly would have built a house.

Are those cedar boards treated right? Out in the open like that
If trees screamed when we cut them down, we wouldnt. But if they screamed all the time , we would.

cedar boards
They are in muted shade from the grey gums.
Covered with tin for water protection or black plastic and left for a year or so.
Cedar is not affected by white ants; and borers only affect some sapwood so there is no problem with bugs.
Once dried, they can be taken to a shed and stored, or left until sold.
There simply isn't abig enough shed to cater for all the wood Mal has in stock, so they have to be stored in the open.
