Thin Oak boards wanted
Hi Does anyone have a clue as to where I can find some thin oak (english or american with meduallry rays-probably quartersawn) boards about 6mm x 300mm x 600mm?
I need about 20 of em to make some federation door plates

Thanks Bob-postage was $350 USD for the boards, but at least it gives me an option.

Hi Haydn.
Don't have any boards that thin, but do have some 1" boards in 'pin-oak' which is very similar to english-oak at the dimensions you require- maybe you could have these resawn? I know that 'Taswan'(?) Timbers will resaw stuff that thin for a minimal cost. Let me know if this is a usefull option for you. Good luck.
