    Default What timber is this??

Hey guys. Just wondering if anyone can identify this timber for me? I was thinking maybe cedar? It was used as fillers in some pallets at work and it looked half decent so I grabbed it.

    Appreciate any help guys!

Where is the pallet from Floody? Ive had some very similar timber from a pallet that came from the US. I thought it was Maple. Its also had Osage Orange on it BTW.

    Is it light?

Looks like rough sawn Western Red Cedar.

Its either Dark red Maranti or Kapur. Saw into it, does it smell like camphor? If it does, its Kapur. Maranti tends to have lots of holes in it, doesn't look like that in your pics.
