Both Oregon and Western Red Cedar have a distinctive smell. Hemlock has no smell once dry.
Oregon density and weight vary greatly subject to growing conditions. To rely on these indications for proof of identity may be somewhat misleading.
Saw, sand or plane - if there is no smell, I'll bet its Hemlock.

When I bought the timber it was advertised as WRC but I’m not sure how accurate the info was.
