    Default Timber Identification

    Hi,

I was given a heap of this timber from a trade college for woodwork apprentices. I gather it was used for flooring. The timber seems reasonably dense and tight grain, no smell to talk about and varies in colour slightly. My guess is Merbau. anyone else have a better ID. At the end of the day I am planning on making some bandsaw boxes with the timber.

I like the lighter blonde species as a contrast. Blackbutt works well.
