    Unhappy Mallee burl needed

    Hi I'm in my School certificate year doing woodwork and for this project I wanted to do a bandsaw box out of a Mallee burl. Trying to locate one desperately. The box is approximately 150x125x200mm. If anyone knows how to get one it would be very helpful.

    There is often some on ebay. Under "wood turning". You might be able to contact the guy and get a bit the size you want.

    sorry no burl just log sections of red mallee.

    i hope you got some good bandsaw blades if ya making a bandsaw box outa mallee.

    i did 2 blades just cutting some pen blanks.

    not sure if dave linton at maleny may have some. I'm afraid i don't have a number for them but maybe someone here will. He often has odds and ends of timber and i got some mallee burl from him recently. Don't know if he'll have the dimensions you want but if not he might know someone who does.

    Also try wood n workshop (forum sponsor so the number will be on here somewhere). Bruce there has had mallee burl in the past. Again if he hasn't any he might be able to point you in the right direction.
