    Default turpentine movement

How stable is turpentine? I have a 1x2.4m slab for a dining table, using steel legs, no apron. Is it worth putting breadboard ends on in case of cupping?

Once it's properly dry its reasonable. But if it's green forget it for a few years. Cup/spring/bow/twist... 13% tangential shrinkage means it's going to move. For mine I'd rip it into planks and join them back together.

    how thick is your slab?

My thinking is that turpentine is so strong that no reasonably sized breadboard end will hold it flat if it wants to cup or twist.

If the slab is properly dry it should be fine. If not hold off the table build till the slab is properly dry

If your breadboard ends are made from rail line it may make some sort of an impression.
