Default Wanted: Vic Ash or similar

I'm looking to build a proper woodworkers bench. I'm looking for a supply of rough-sawn Vic Ash or similar to make it from. I can get DAR stock, but it's quite expensive. I've got the gear to dimension the timber. Any suggestions on where to source this? Bench will be around 1800 long by 700 wide, made with a laminated top.

    Cheers,

Whats wrong with your own local Mountain Ash, or Mountain red gum, or Sydney Blue gum, or Mountain Stringy bark ?

No, I haven't found a source yet. I can get dressed timber from Trend or Mathews, but it's expensive. Appreciate any help or advice you can offer.

    cheers,

I'd be happy with these, but don't know where I can get it in the rough dimensions I need for a workbench. Any suggestions? Most of my timber has come from Trend or Mathews. I'm looking for something a bit cheaper.

    cheers,
