    Default Rainforest tree ID book

I have just been told about a book to identify rainforest trees from Rockhampton Qld, through NSW and Victoria. I looks like a beauty, it has 300 pages and costs $45.00 including postage. http://www.rainforests.net.au/ Its a self published book by some Australian botanists.

Does anyone have it, and if so, how useful is it really?

I have that book, Peter. I had the earlier "Red Book" for many years and found it useful. The new book is much more comprehensive, but it does have only line drawings.
You would have to answer your own question on it's usefulness to you. We must not live far apart, I could drop by with my copy for you to browse if you PM'd your address.

    Brian,
I was given a quick look at a copy of the new edition this morning, and it does look very useful indeed. I will have to get myself a copy. I will PM you too.
