Just to get back of the derail, I picked up the last saw stablizer for $10, RRP $40, and also a 7 piece box set of Triton router bits for $60, RRP $200 (ex display, but all bar one bit still had the protective coating).

Was at Ashmore, Qld Bunnings yesterday (15/01/09). All triton stock was on a pallet still at normal prices. Asked the assistant what was to happen to it and he told me it was in H stock mode, which apparently means it will either be a fire sale of all of it, or depending what happens with triton/gmc could go back on the shelves. Certainly will be one to watch as there were at least 2x235mm saws, 3x big routers, compact saw tables, super jaws etc. To my dissappointment the boxed router bits were not there, had been watching these for the past few months ready to pounce.

I made an offer on a big router at the Bunnings near deception bay Q. Got it for $310 so I'm pretty happy.

Might be worth making an offer as the staff appear to have some flexibility on pricing

    Regards,

    James

Whoooo! My wife doesn't forget either, she has sent photographs of me to every Bunnings in Melbourne with strict instructions not to let me in. Have bought sunglasses and a hat.

Had you thought of getting a replacement wife?
When I showed my wife the thread about the Triton drill going cheap in the UK she twisted my arm until I agreed to treat myself to one. I found this forum after she bullied me into buying a 2000 wc from a car boot sale for £40. (I have a low pain threshold)
