Do as I did, box it in with some 3mm MDF and connect it to your full sized cyclone
The downdraft around the gaping slots grabs most of the dust. One day I may get keen and attach to the overhead guard and probably then get 99% of the stuffRay

Tony, I have no idea what they think but I am sure that they know what we do on this BB and are aware of the numerous improvements members have suggested.
In the past when George was in charge these mods would be incorporated in the next version but that does not seem to happen anymore now that it is owned by a bigger company.
They still make great products and have fantastic after sales service but their testing in the new products they release is inadequate.
Maybe they should get Triton club members to do their beta testing by supplying them with new products at a much reduced price.
Peter.

Yes Peter I like the idea.
Zathras you got any pics of what you did. It sounds promising
but then what effect would I have putting a hose from the Triton saw air outlet to my dust collector

Tonto,
hot from the shed
General side view, the side panels can be removed to allow crosscut mode, but I haven't used that since I got a SCMS. The hole is to allow fresh air into the saw's motor.
A shot below, the containment is like an oblique inverted pyramid, As it turns out there is JUST enough space at the front to flip the saw over. I made it like this to clear the power switch unit.
A view inside. nothing fancy but a big 4" hole and accumulated dust that has settled within
Since the bottom is all sealed up, I have made the saw guard removable from above by countersinking one of the bolt holes in the saw guard and tapping into the cross rail, 1/4" WW thread used. The series 2000 is removable from above by default.
Hope all this works linking jpg files from my ISP webpages to the forums....Ray
