Found switch for GMC grinder
I have an 8" GMC angle grinder on which the switch had cracked internally and ceased working. I searched endlessly looking for a replacement through any place at all vaguely GMC related, and of course never got anywhere. I was just about to toss an otherwise perfectly usable grinder when I happened to notice some numbers on the switch so started googling it, and bingo!
Turns out the switch is the same as used on Toshiba and various other tools and just get bought in by the manufacturers from the specialist switch maker. I ended up getting an identical switch from Aliexpress.com for about $12 including postage.
This is what I have
GMC LAG230 Angle Grinder
- Switch is called an "Angle Grinder Switch S230B-3", which is printed on the switch.
and I got it from here

The lesson here is that for GMC at least, searching on those numbers on Google or Aliexpress just might work for any switches you need.
HI hope this helps someone
