    Default New JOF-001 opinions

    Hi folks,

Apologies for the cross-post from the routing forum, just wondering if anyone has an opinion on the wisdom (or otherwise!) of buying a new JOF-001? Looking for a dedicated plunge router, and it seems to be a light cheap option.'

But if it falls down on usability or accuracy next to a Makita/Bosch then I'll pay the extra for the blue options!

    Cheers,

    Danny

I see you have brought the Ryobi now so this is a bit late. I don't see any reason why you would pay the money for one of the Tritons when that model doesn't have any bells and whistles that the larger ones have and also have a bit of a cloud over their reliability.
I have one of these and find that it is a much better machine than it's similar equivalent the MOF001 which I also have. It runs quieter and smoother than the Triton and has fine adjustments on the depth adjuster and the fence.

Funny you should mention it, I almost bought that model Bosch (I think) before some other expenses pushed me towards the ryobi!
