    Default Maxi or Mini

Could anyone please identify this sliding table as a Maxi or a Mini?

    Cheers

    Default Not a Mini

The Mini only has one orange bar in the middle of the sliding table.

It is either a Maxi, or one of the old models that came out before the mini/maxi split.

If it is a maxi, it will be able to crosscut 1200mm in a single pass. With the fence set at the leading edge of the sliding table. If not, it is one of the old ones.

On the sliding table, there are 4 orange corner bits. 2 are printed on. The one with the Triton logo will have in small text ETA200 or ETA300. The latter is the newest model with the 1200mm rip capacity.

If this image is all you have (eBay I'd guess from the logo lower-right in the image) then:
based on the proportions of the sliding table, I would say it is the ETA300. The old ETA200 table is the same length, but thinner.

BIT HARD TO TELL FROM THE PICTURE BUT IF THE SLIDING TABLE HAS HOLD DOWNS FITTED TO THE ADJUSTABLE ARM THEN ITS A MAXI

Thanks for the assistance guys. They did say that the part number was eta200 but I thought they might have been mistaken as the mini is eta100 and the maxi is eta300. I'll hold out for the maxi.

Shows how hard it is to tell the 200 from the 300!

(btw Old Boy - both the 200 and 300 have holddowns on the sliding table)

The mini doesn't come with them, but the eta200 and the maxi both do. So you can't use the presence of hold-downs to distinguish between them.

Working out if it is a mini is easy - as Steve pointed out, the mini only has 1 centre bar. The ETA200 and 300 both have 2.

    Default minni or maxi

an easier way would be to check the slider scale
if it goes to 1200mm its a MAXI
if it goes to 1000 its a MINI

The differences between the eta200 and eta300 have been discussed before.

    See http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...ghlight=eta200

Growing old is much better than the alternative!

We were trying to work out if you could distinguish what type it was from the photo. Its easy in person.

FWIW, the mini and the old maxi (ETA200) sliders both actually go to 1040, so that is not a way to distinguish between them - Steve's method is much easier. Seeing what the sliders read at maximum will distinguish the old maxi from the new maxi.
