Hello fellow Triton users.

I've got some questions about the triton tools and things in general if I may. As i've only just purchased these tools you'll have to bear with me if I seem a little uneducated about all things Triton ( i've only just finished putting the workcenter together. )

How long does the saw blade that comes with the triton 235mm precision power saw last, roughly? I know there are lots of influencing factors but if I was to just cut softwood/pine mostly with the occasional piece of oak. Also can it be resharpened successfully?

Are the professional 235mm circular saw blades you can purchase significantly better than the premium ones that comes with the saw?

Are the triton router cutters good quality and worth purchasing?
How do they measure up in terms of quality with others on the market?

Any other little tips that any of you long time Triton owners care to pass on for someone just starting out at this. At the moment I have the TRA001 router, router table, Workcenter 2000 and the 235mm precision power saw.
I hope to browse these forums back pages over the course of time but if there are any specific links that you think may help, feel free to post them and i'll give them a look.

Hi and welcome to the Forum! Whereabouts in England do you live?

The supplied blade is a good one and can be sharpened. Mine's still going well, so I've not needed to sharpen it yet. You can get higher quality blades, but be prepared to pay much more for a higher tooth-per-inch rating.

I'm a fan of the Triton router cutters and reckon there as good as CMTs - loads of carbide and very well finished. However, in the UK, Wealden Cutters (Kent) are really excellent value, with a great mail order service too.

You've got some good kit there. I'd add the Workcentre Height Winder Kit for ease of use, otherwise your in good shape. Check in your Personal Message box.

Yes they can be re sharpened
How long they last , realy there are too many factors involved even down to how you set the guide but the triton blades are of a good quality and should last as well as any other blades if you have it well set up and are only cutting pine and oak

depending on what you are cutting ,a 40 tooth blade for ripping , or mabye 80 tooth for fine cuts with exotic timbers it depends on what the blade is designed for , but in general the triton blades are as good as most
