Default Triton 1400w Router has landed!

Spotted at Bunnies today - priced @ $288
Good news - its made in Taiwan!
Not ready to buy yet. Still using Ryobi Ert241200
Wont be long however the Ryobi's shaft has developed substantial end float
    Regards to all

There seems to be a misprint on the box. We were told it was definitely 1500W

Glad someone in NSW has seen them. I've been in 4 different Bunnies over the past couple of weeks trying to spot one. I was beginning to think they were a phantom router.

I don't think that $288 is a bad price if the quality is as good as the big one.

Sure would like to see one "in the flesh" though.

Is it powerful enough to go under a router table? If someonr has one, please post a review.

The through the base adjustment of bit depth would seem to indicate that the manufacturer (Triton, Hills, GMC) had under a table in mind. Are they going to modify the big one to do the same thing?

Mr Triton will be checking posts on here. Give us a hint, please.

It only takes one drink to get me loaded. Trouble is, I can't remember if it's the thirteenth or fourteenth.

    Default New Guy

    Hi,

I hope someone can help me and this is the correct way of sending messages across. I was enquiring about purchasing either the 1/2 triton Router or the new smaller version, however I have also looked at the Festool 1010.

Does anyone have any advice which way I should go on this. thankyou

A lot will depend on how much you want to spend.
I've had a Triton 1/2", in a bench for a few years now, could not be happier, but if you feel the need to spend the extra money, just to say that you have a festool router, so be it.

How do you find 4 different Bunnings ? It's like a futuristic matter transporter being in there. I could be standing in bunnings Scoresby and if I close my eyes for 5 seconds, then open them again, I'm in Bunnings Bunbury or where ever. Same stock, same setup, same people.

To get home, I just close my eyes again. It's a cheap way to see the country.

    See one, seen 'em all.

Oh, BTW, Fesmac, just buy the Triton.

Where I live, all of the Bunnings stores are different. The set out of the tool shop, the overall look is different and in many cases the condition of the display stock varies. There are 16 stores within 40km, even the parking varies dramatically.

Next you'll be telling us that the Big Macs taste different too.

If you are considering buying a small wattage router, buy the Triton at 1400W, it will be good for both table work and hand held work as well.
