    I had that problem once and found the height winder was jammed with sawdust at the top of the thread.

    You do need to make sure that your saw height lever is tightened and that the saw hasn't slumped down. To tighten the lever you need to tighten it once, and then pull the lever out and rotate it and then tighten it again. It is far from intuitive as a mechanism.

    This might be a little "out there" but has anyone ever thought about fitting a 355mm/14" saw to there Triton. I haven't had a look at mine yet so not sure if it would even be possible.

    Com, I don't think 14 inches would fit. 10 inches was the maximum I could achieve, after removing the blade guard, spring and then grinding down the ribs inside the blade housing so that the teeth would clear them.

    Incidentally, I've used a10in in my TS2000 with the big Triton saw for some three years without a problem. I also have the height winder attachment fitted. I'm happy with the added depth of cut.
