Triton work centre - What's this part for ?
I have recently acquired a Triton 2000 Workcentre with Router and Jigsaw table.
I have assembled all with the exception of the pictured fence below.
Can anyone tell me what this piece belongs to and what it is used for please ?

It is the cross cut fence, use it with the table below the saw (saw right way up) it sits in the slots in one end of the table. Make sense?

It's the fence used when the table is set up in the overhead mode.
Watch this video for ideas of how the workcentre is setup and used.
Enjoy!Nothing succeeds like a budgie without a beak.

Sounds like you need the manual. You can get it here:

This is my first post and I know this is an old thread but I recently bought a used Workcentre 2000 cheap, the guy who sold it to me handed me the fence as well as the miter gauge, the MDF on the fence had swelled up as if it had got wet, I asked him what it was for and he said he had no idea. He had the Workcentre for a while and only ever used it with the saw hanging under the table. I replaced the MDF and set it up for overhead mode, it's amazing, I made a long piece of pine with a right angle stop on it, so I can clamp it in place just behind the fence and cut pieces of identical lengths. I checked the cut and it's nice and square both ways.
Couldn't be happier with it, just a question though is it worthwhile getting the saw chassis upgrade as the old cast one had sagged a bit, I knocked it back as straight as I could and it works fine now, but will it happen again and does the upgrade stop this?

Yes. it will happen again over time, especially in very hot weather. And yes, the upgraded chassis will remove the problem. If you have a Triton saw it also gives you other benefits, and it also allows you to fit a height winder, which is a major plus. These are now going off the market in Australia.
