Default Triton Spindle Sander Repair Help

Two years ago I got a Triton Spindle Sander but before the warranty ran out the armature (motor) burnt out. This would have been fine except Triton went under and for a few months no one could get any service carried out until all was sorted out. To late for a warranty claim then. Anyhow I need to get it fixed, any Ideas where I can get a new armature please or where I can get the armature serviced. I'm in Caboolture, Queensland, so local would be best for servicing the armeture. I guess if no fix it's buying a new one but not Triton this time.

Bairnsdale Electrical were a Triton retailer and warranty agent/repairer for a long time before the GMC crash, and are the business behind cheaptools.au on ebay. They have maintained a triton presence through the downtime, and cleared a lot of spindle sanders when the crash occured. Try emailing them at sales at cheaptools dot com.dot au. They may have the part or be able to source it for you.

Alternatively, I believe Hare and Forbes supplied the Sheppach version of the unit and if so they may be able to source a part.

Failing both of these avenues, look for electric motor rewinders in your local area. They should be able to rewind it, but at a cost.
