Triton TRA01 Winder handle assembly
I have a TRA01 mounted on a router table. Looking for a winder handle assembly.....the one you use to raise and lower the router. Looked at spares online and they do not ha e it listed. If you can point me to where I can get one either new or used would be appreciated.

Ring White International - the Triton distributor - to see if they stock it. If they do, get their part number and order from a Triton retailer like Timberbits. Toolsparesonline list one for a JOF001 but I don't know if they are the same size?

Can I be rude enough to ask why you need the handle assembly? Problems with winding when inverted are usually related to the worm gear shaft, not the handle assembly itself. If the router was, for example, dropped on the handle, fair enough, just trying to prevent unnecessary expense. BTW, I found the handle assembly at Toolsparesonline here: Tool Spares Online. TURN TYPE HANDLE COMPLETE They also do an upgrade assembly to turn the handle into a push button operation, which is here: Tool Spares Online. PUSH BUTTON CONVERSION KIT
Hope some of that helps.

This thing?

I used it once, it sucked. So now it just lives in a drawer of odds n sods. I just reach under the table and use the handle to get close to the mark, then use the winder knob to get bang on the mark. I can send you this if you want it, I have two, neither get used.

Looks like I got hold of the wrong end of the sticK - we call the part that Kuffy referred to "above-the-table winders" over here! However, if I was correct, the links will show the relevant parts.

Thanks guys for your responses.
the reason for getting another one is simply that the one I have is too short and hits the fence when using.....so I want to extend the handle higher. As the router is enclosed underneath it's a PITA to adjust from underneath. I contacted Triton distributor here quite some time ago to see if I old get a longer length of the extrusion and after waiting for a year (they said they would get one in) I gave up and started looking if could find the extrusion anywhere......could not......gave up.....this was last year.
so now thought what if I get another assembly and pull of the extrusion, join them I could extend my handle and get to use it without hitting the fence.
i know it's not the greatest handle but it does work for me.......if all this gets too hard....might just ditch the whole concept and get a proper router lift system.
cheers

The handle shouldn't be anywhere near the fence. If it is you have your insert plate the wrong way round. the handle should be on the bottom right.

If it's a Kreg plate insert, its on the bottom left and is centre is aprox. 45mm away from the centre of the collet. The handle can hit the fence as this picture shows (the white item shown is a drying painted door, not the fence)

I have a Woodpecker plate and believe me I've tried all kinds of combinations......the router has to face a certain way so that I can access the switch easily (the switch cover has to be over the switch otherwise the collet will not lock-in for bit changing).....ended up having to drill a hole for the handle.

Thanks Lappa.......yes I've already found that link some time ago but the winder assembly TRA410 part number is on the schematic but not listed on their site for purchase. I'll try and emil them to see if they can supply???
personally I would prefer to get a length of the extrusion only but I got nowhere when I contact and tried with triton (as I mentioned early on).
does anyone have an email or phone contact for Triton factory???
cheers
