From the looks of the machine it seems identical to the Scheppach 2000. I did a google search and apparently most of the jigs should work (someone bought a tormek jig set, and everything worked, except the honing wheel was a different size).
I bought the Jet wet sharpener myself, and so far I'm very pleased with it.(I have it almost a week now)

Tip: you can download the Tormek wet sharpening manual (that comes with a Tormek as a hardcover book), as a pdf file from their website: http://www.tormek.se/en/handbook/download/

Was at the Sydney show on Friday, asked the guys on the Triton stand about the wet dry sharpener, not available yet, they recon some time in August! Strangely enough I asked the same question at the Brisbane show and was told they would arrive at the end of May.

The lastest I've heard from justtools is that they are arriving in the country June 18 (tomorrow!) and will be despatched forthwith. August sounds disappointing....

www.justtools.com.au had it on their website for $207, but it isn't there anymore. Hmmm. I've got one ordered from them, so I'm hoping this doesn't mean that they aren't going to carry them. I haven't heard anything from them recently so I'll drop them an email.
Got an email back from justtools - they are now saying August as per the update from Triton. Have to say that I'm not upset with the service from justtools, they've been very good. It is frustrating not to be able to get my hands on the sharpener though.Last edited by Poppa; 26th June 2007 at 10:49 AM. Reason: Updated news

All right! Just received an email from Justtools that my wet/dry sharpener has shipped today. So I'll let you know what it is like as soon as I get to have a play. With pictures even.
Justtools have been very good throughout this order process. I hope the sharpener does the job I want it to do. I've noticed that Justtools haven't put the sharpener back on their website yet, but I expect that they will soon now that they can get their hands on the things.Bob C.

There was one in the flesh at the Adelaide WW show. They didn't have any stock to sell there and then but I was able to put an order in, they said about a week wait.
The triton guy I was speaking to said they designed it to be able to take the Schpach and Tormek jigs and wheels. At $199 (show special) I couldn't resist.
Unfortanutely some of the jigs for sale in Australia are worth more than the Triton sharpener! Has anyone bought any of these from Amazon.com? Their prices were much better.
Cheers,

Hey guys,
any feedback on this tool yet?
I see Just Tools have it back up on their website.
http://www.justtools.com.au/prod4652.htm
I recently got a cheapo GMC wet grinder (I needed a grinder/wire wheel as well, so it made sense). After a week and a half (of relatively satisfactory free-hand wet-grinding) I have burnt out the PLASTIC reduction gear to the wet wheel. GMC are going to send me out a new one, but as I am still within the '30 day satisfaction period' I am thinking of just getting my money back and putting in a bit more towards getting one of these Triton ones, and then getting a seperate grinder as well (for wire wheel, buffing wheel and grinding). (My work space is very small).
so, any news?
