    Default 7 1/2

    Hi All

Prepping some tools for a sell off and noticed something interesting - the Marple jointer is a tad longer than a normal 7. Had a moment when though maybe the Marples should be the keeper.. but I need to keep away from this sort of thinking...

It is an early model only made for a year or 2 as I understand it -Later red ones may be shorter.

    Hi MA

Mostly selling working tools, all sharp, here's the start of a group photo, but since then I added some 51 spokeshave an 80 style scraper some woodies ( only special in that the are blades are sharp and fitted which is pain in the butt, cause on most woodies I see the backside is a flat as the Himalayans)- I don't know how our ancestors who invented double irons made them work- I was curious at one time in woodies - some are now users.

This isn't really the place for sales though and Ian will promptly remove the thread. But the long Marples was interesting to me, anyway. The internet does not mention they are longer.
As you can see I have quite a few rasps...

I won't jump on you this time, Martin, you're just giving us a heads-up of what's coming to the Market-place.....

That's what I was thinking too.
