Thread: Great Besey Clamp Order 2009
-
7th March 2009, 09:12 AM #181
Hi Gidgee,
I haven't done the pickup points yet though I will try and choose someone who is relatively central to make it easier for everyone to pick up their clamps. An idea here, you might want to ask on this forum if any other people in your area are interested in getting clamps that way you can split the fuel costs.
Thanks,
Martin.

clamp pickup
Hi Forumites
Is there anyone on the forum around Orange(central west nsw) or who lives between Orange and Sydney who is buying some bessey clamps in the current group buy, who may be interested in splitting the transport costs involved in the pickup from Sydney?
If need be I can pick them up from Sydney in the `beaut ute`,but any saving in the purchase price of the clamps is eaten up in fuel cost.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
cheers

I'm at Shailer Park, so I suppose close enuf to halfway Goldy.. Northside Brissy.
Any input from other SE QLD buyers?
Another side note, I can get them up to Hervey Bay over Easter.

Clamp Delivery
Sorry Wolften, clamps are 12 weeks delivery from close date for payment, Easter will be long gone.
I did advise Martink we could act as delivery point (Brisbane Northside) but only during our normal operating hours, whereas a private individual can be a little more flexible to hours they may be available, and because of that better suited I believe.
Cheers

G'Day
I am also after the KliKlamps and could not find them on the Northwood web site. I am wondering if we correspond directly with Northwood (and who do we talk to) or do you prefer that we go through yourself to get price for these and then work out the 10% discount?
I thought this would be a good one for the Festool junkies
Cheers

clamp delivery
Colin
As you have volunteered to be a delivery point, would you be prepared to post (at our cost and with a service fee,of course) to those of us who are not close to a pickup point?
I realise that the extra costs may use up any saving on normal price, but so will a 500km round trip to pick them up.
I put in a tentative order earlier in this thread and I would like to support the efforts of Martink.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated
cheers

Hey Rodney,
Try http://www.toolco.com.au/shopdisplay...+Handed+Clamps - The old northwood tools site is gone and toolco.com seems to be it now! Just click on the bessey logo on the front page of the toolco.com website.
Ta,
Martin.

A friendly reminder - 10 days left
Hi All,
Just a reminder that the cut off date for getting your orders in is in 10 days!!! I need to have all orders by the 23rd of march and you have until the 6th of April to get your money to Northwood.
A small thing here; I haven't received very many orders at all. Whilst I did specify this to all suppliers that the number of clamps I tallied up from this thread was not a guaranteed number there is some expectation that we would get at least close to these numbers. This is why I managed to get such a good price. The down side here is that if we do not get near these numbers then obviously the prices will be much more which I guess will be a deal breaker for all of us - these are bulk special order prices after all.
As a courtesy to me please let me know what you want - I have spent a lot of time on this for which I certinally don't get paid for here. I don't mind doing this - giving something back to the communiity but if you all have had a change of heart then I would like to know sooner rather than later so I don't keep spending time on this.
Thanks in advance,
Martin.

Kliklamps
Here is the link to the KLI clamps on the Northwood Tools site.
http://www.toolco.com.au/shopdisplay...+Handed+Clamps
I also tried entering KLI in the search box and got straight to the same place, not sure why you could not find them.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Pickup point veresus delivery
To Gidgee,
I have volunteered as a Brisbane pickup only if no one else can do it. If someone else offers as a Brisbane pickup, I won't even see the clamps, they will be shipped direct to the pickup point. So I cannot promise anything related to direct delivery, until pickup points are agreed.

Martin,
I don't know if other Sunshine Coast members have ordered clamps, but I am happy to either be the pick point or alternatively, collect them from Northwood for the Coast.

Hi Martin,
I know you are very busy but would it be possible to post a list of those members who you have received orders from. Alternatively, could you hit 'reply' on the emails we have sent with our orders so we know that you have got them. I'm worried now that perhaps the reason you haven't got many orders is that some of us might have sent them to the wrong email address (typing isn't my strong suit)
Also, do we need to wait to get an invoice, email or some other confirmation from Northwood Tools before we pay them or do we just send them the money? Should we ring and ask to speak to anybody in particular or what is the deal.
Thanks,
SteveTo be old and wise you must first be young and stupid!
