Damn, that will clash terribly with the scheme in my workshop. I'll be distraught.
Thanks again for all your efforts on this Martin. More power to you.Bob C.

I prefer the black clamps: the red ones clashed with my pink curtains.
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them . . . well, I have others.

[quote=martink;566007]All, I have some more info on the TG clamps, the TG tommy bar clamps that have already been quoted are pictured below and look like the first image.
I've also been asked about the wooden handle versions of these clamps (see second picture). These are 1 dollar less than the prices for the same size tommy bar clamps.

Hi guys, new member, new to woodworking so I'd like to jump in on this opportunity please but it's possibly a bet premature because I don't really know my needs. I'm thinking 4-6?? of the Tommy bar clamps to start off, they look useful for clamping rhs etc too and some DUO65's?
I know it's a length of string question but would some brave soul like to suggest a starting collection of clamps I may find useful. I have some sash clamps I bought 2nd hand recently.
Probaly mainly cabinet work at first as I build a bar, fit out laundry etc then into some nice furniture.
Cheers

[quote=notenoughtoys;566784]Hey Bob,
It really is a bit of personal preference on this one, though the most preferred (The bulk of the orders received so far) is the K-Body clamps for gluing cabinets, draws, the cat to the table, and anything else as they apply a more even clamping pressure.
My 2 cents

Clamp Order Update
Hi All,
Well, I've been pretty busy with all of this, and all of those who have thanked me for my efforts, I really do appreciate it!
One thing that will make my life a little easier is if you include all the required details when you are emailing me with your order. I _require_ the following
1) Your name and address (this is for the tax invoice etc.)
2) Pickup location
3) Payment Method
4) The clamps you want to order
If any of the above is missing then I cannot add you on the list and Colin cannot get invoices and things off to you. As you all can imagine this does take a lot of time to sort out when there are details missing so pretty please ensure that these requirements are met.
Ta,
M.

Any news for the people who live 1000s of KMs from the pick up points?
Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

G'day Martink,
I don't wish to add to your work load but do you or Colin have any idea of time frames?
Invoices issued?
ETA of orders etc?
My reason for asking is that I will be away from early September until November and I would like to ensure that I have paid etc so that problems can be avoided.
Regards,
Bob
Ps checked my email order and have covered your 4 points

Orders for direct delivery
For those that want to order but are unable to get to a pickup point, please note we can send to you direct but . . .
One of the big advantages of this order process is that there is NO CHARGE made for delivery of clamps to a delivery point. That is a very significant savings particularly for the heavier clamps like the K-Body.
However, provided they are happy to pay for the shipping we will process the clamps and ship from Brisbane. I suggest WA, and NT members think twice, costs are very high to those locations. Country QLD, NSW and VIC are not so bad, and SA is justifiable. Having said that, even with shipping, total clamp cost is less than normal selling prices in those states (WA, NT, TAS).
Hope this helps.

Hi Bob,
I'm feeding Colin incremental updates as I get them. All invoices will be issues on or around the cut off date which is close of business 7-Sept-2007. Now after that I'm allowing a week for everyone to get their payments to Colin. Once Colin has received all payments then the orders will be shipped around the country to the capital city drop off points - this should be about 2 weeks with the exception of the K150s that will take longer.
This is all noted in my post with the prices, for further info, please refer to post number 142 of this thread.
Ta,
M.
