G'day Martin and Colin,
A huge thanks for the time and effort you've sacrificed to get this massive order happening. Yesterday I got the C/T pre-WWS Sale cattledog in the mail, for example their K-60 bodies are listed at $81 ea. buy 4 and you get 25% off, which just goes to show how much a saving Colin is giving us with our clamps.

I think they (Carbatec) normally do this, I got a flyer from them when all of this was open for orders - same thing as Waldo was reporting, the prices were nowhere near what we were getting. Adds to my gratification that I'm doing something worthwhile - on a personal note

Clamp Deliveries - an update!
Hi All,
Well we are definitely at the business end of this. Just heard back from Colin, who has heard back from the distributors, most of the clamps (including the K-150's) will be shipped now and should be at the drop off points in about a week or so for the following locations:
Brisbane,
Perth
Hobart,
Newcastle
Adelaide.
Canberra (There will be a possible shortfall of K-150's)
Now the bad news, we have been very successful - so successful in fact that we have emptied out the distributor! As a result there will be a whole bunch of clamps shipping from Germany just for us. How is this bad, well it will take 5 weeks for the boat to get here. This means the following drop off points will have to wait about 5 weeks:
Melbourne
Sydney
A thousand apologies but the response has been so very good, and yes we all would like our clamps (me included) but patience is the order of the day.

How lucky am I? I'm going to be away on holiday for the first couple of weeks of October. And I'll be getting mine from the Sydney drop. So the delay actually doesn't worry me at all. Serendipitous....

Hi Martin,
Can I ask who the person is for the drop off point for Perth mate ? I have looked, and know at least two people offered, but I can't find the post that identifies the winner. Must be getting too old or too excited about the clamps.
Sorry to be a bother.
Cheers

Hi All,
I've finally managed to get the spreadsheets out (just now) to each of the distribution points and I've asked them to send you an email to say hello and identify them as your respective drop off points. This might take them a bit so be patient.
There are two exceptions here, one Brisbane - it's Colin @ northwood, and Sydney it's me. For the Sydney Guys, I will be emailing you all as soon as the clamps show up at my place for you to pick them up.
Ciao,
M.

to martin and colin - and the drop off points - many many thanks for securing us a great deal on the clamps"... it is better to succeed in originality than to fail in imitation" (Herman Melville's letters)

Invoice from Colin and E-mail from Javali received today!
But I thought Colin said he would include the orders stats? Not in with mine.
Found it in post #403I am also preparing (with Martin's help) some statistics on this whole process which will be sent with your receipts rather than broadcast here. Hope this is OK.
Number of orders placed?
Total dollars spent?
Total number of all clamps combined? The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources.

Hey don't blame Colin for this, blame me! I'm the gate keeper of the master spreadsheet and I didn't get the confirmed stats to him in time Bad Martin (Yes you could spank me for it but I might just like that!)
I've only just now (read 30 seconds ago) forwarded on the stats to all of the drop off people. For those of you who have participated in this, you can get the details from them when you pick up the clamps - or I suppose if you talk really nicely to them they can also email them (this is a big optional thing as this takes much more time out of there lives so I would advise against this).
Ciao,
M.
P.S. I love this new light and bright format - nowhere near as dark and depressing as the dull orange/brown!
