The Great Bessy Clamp Order 2007
Hi All,
It's been a while since the last big Bessy Clamp order so it's time again for another big order (The last one was in 2005). After a lot of interest I'm organizing another clamp order and have started the wheels turning.
I need your help, if you are interested in buying some of these clamps at below retail cost then please register your interest along with what/how many you are interested in. This is not a firm commitment at this stage - I'm just trying to gather numbers so that I can take this estimation to the Australian suppliers to secure us a good deal.
I'm not a retailer, am a regular woodworker (though most of what I do becomes firewood).
Ta,
Martin.

Any expressions of interest I may tender would be purely speculative, although there may indeed be a remote chance that in the near future such a concept could be upgraded to notional...
[checks area is clear of SWMBO & little ears]
...but I have been thinking about grabbing a pair of K150's and more K60's. SSSHH!

At this stage I need numbers so I can take these to the suppliers to secure a price estimate. Basically it's about getting a good bulk deal, and I know that in the past there has been one supplier who has helped us out in the past and may be interested in doing so again. If I have numbers then I can get prices (read numbers) for the various clamps - too easy!

The way the dollar is going it may be cheaper to bulk order from seppo land? JET parallel clamps maybe?

I would buy 10 or so of that Bessey clamps!!
Delivery to Argentina won't be a problem, right? Isn't it that true? Isn't it?
Good luck with that order!

All,
My fault for not specifying this in the original post. I am only organizing this for Australia. If you are interested in joining in then please be aware of this. It's too hard to organize delivery overseas.
Thanks,
M.

Can someone give a rough clue as to the prices of the clamps in the bulk order compared to general retail?
[what were the 2005 price differences?]

You bloody ripper Martink!
This is my initial interest and may change depending on what sort of price we can end up with.
4/K60
4/K100
4/K125
4/K150I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

I can't provide price differences but prices for clamps I ordered in 2005 are shown below.
<table x:str="" style="border-collapse: collapse; 95pt;" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="127"><col style=" 47pt;" width="63"> <col style=" 48pt;" width="64"> <tbody><tr style=" 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style=" 12.75pt; 47pt;" height="17" width="63">K30</td> <td class="xl22" style=" 48pt;" x:num="38.5" align="right" width="64">$38.50</td> </tr> <tr style=" 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style=" 12.75pt;" height="17">K60</td> <td class="xl22" x:num="42.311500000000009" align="right">$42.31</td> </tr> <tr style=" 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style=" 12.75pt;" height="17">K125</td> <td class="xl22" x:num="62.078500000000005" align="right">$62.08</td> </tr> <tr style=" 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style=" 12.75pt;" height="17">K150</td> <td class="xl22" x:num="70.878500000000003" align="right">$70.88</td> </tr> <tr style=" 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style=" 12.75pt;" height="17">frame set</td> <td class="xl22" x:num="30.91" align="right">$30.91</td> </tr> </tbody></table>plus $5 admin fee per order + freight
Can you put me down for 6 K60's.Kev

I have no firm numbers yet on prices however I expect to be able to publish this in a week or there abouts. This is not just limited to the K-Body clamps (though I too am wanting many of these )
To get a good price I need to get good volumes to take to the suppliers - therefore can get a good price.
It's a chicken and the egg thing to a degree. Though given the response I have received already we all have a good bargaining position!!
Ciao,
M.

I'd be up for:
4 X 30
4 X 60
4 X 1000
If they could be had at prices similar to the last order.
Cheers
Greg
