    Hey Jim,
Are you the same Jim Davey that has an ad in the AWR magazine for plane sharpening? I was just happening to be reading through issue 55 and saw the ad.

Is there any tips on how to best do this? I tried puting more pressure towards the front of the plane and that sort of helped.

    HI Andy

Did you sharpen the blade, or just use it out of the box?

    Regards from Perth

    Hey Derek,
I bought the plane second hand. It was sharpened with a 8000g waterstone before it was sent to me.
One thing I did do (probably not the best thing for the blade) was try and plane the end grain off some 90x45mm on a assembly bench I have just made. I went prety hard on it and may have blunt the blade??
