    Default Bodmann Saw

    Hi All

This saw was given to me recently by a collegue who knows I like my tools. He had had it sitting around for ages doing nothing.

The blade was cleaned up with 180 - 400 wet and dry. The handle had the remenents of the old finish scraped off, a very light sand and then 5 coats of shellac followed by a going over with trad wax and the brass polished up.

I haven't sharpened it as yet. It is currently a 7 point rip configuration but I have plenty of 6 ppi rips so I'm contemplating converting it to a cross cut saw.

I've googled the Bodmann name and it appears to be a German brand but I can't find anything about their saws. Is it possible it was made by one of the other saw manufacturers and branded Bodmann?

    cheers
