Where to buy good planes?
I am in the market for a few good planes, such as #20 Stanley circular plane (or #020 Record), #90 Stanley rabbit, #60 1/2 bullnose. Perhaps a good smoother as well. Who sells these at a reasonable price, new or preferably used (No, don't tell me about eBAy - I know already!)?
Thanks
Derek

Hi Derek, one good place that is thoroughly recommended is MIK International in Adelaide or failing that Power Tools and Machinery in Bayswater(Perth)or Woodstock or Timbecom also in Perth should be able to access what you want.
Cheers

You could try carbatec at www.carbatec.com au and askr them to send you a catalogue.
They are in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane but do service the rest of the world.
Don't know about Stanley but they do have several other thoroughbreds in stock of exceptional quality.
I also thougth that Stanley could be purchased through any major hardware outlet such as Mitre 10, Bunning etc.
Sorry, didn't work... www.carbatec.com.au
