    I had a further think on that chisel and why anyone would go to the bother. I recalled reading about a twibill a while back so he may have had that in mind.

    I can not see what sort of cut this could do that a conventional chisel could not do better. Maybe an in-house joke for apprentices, "go and get the corner chisel; No not the left hand one I need the right hand one." I would laugh if it turned out to be some very specific tool from a rare trade.
