Chisel set anybody? Latest from H & S.
Well, do I have your attention? I don't think you will be sorry.
Trent Powrie has been piecing his life together after a life threatening illness, for which he still is undergoing treatment and leaves him debilitated a couple of times a month.
When I travel down to the Hunter Valley I have to pass right by the shed where Trent operates his Harold and Saxon business. Calling in on him at Warialda takes the drudge out of the trip I can tell you.
This time in particular it was well worth the effort. He gleefully dragged me into the workshop to show off the finished set of chisels for a discerning (and well heeled) client.

The set includes 53 chisels, two carpenters mallets, a carving mallet, a set of dovetail guages, a marking knife and a leather strop. The two placards on the lid identify the provenance of Harold and Saxon and a complete inventory. The chisel handles are Cocobolo with the mallets having matching cheeks. The cabinet is made from Sapele veneer, Ebony and Satin Ash. The drawers are soft close style, so there's no slamming them shut when your woodworking doesn't go according to plan .

Beautiful work. Love it.

Absolutely one of the best functional works of art ever displayed on these forums.
Your workmanship in handtool making and woodworking is up there with some of the best in the world. And that is a serious comment not just blowing smoke up you #### Trent.

Wow. How nice is that? I'm resigned to never owning anything approaching that, but I can sure admire the art.
BTW, I count 54 chisels. Just sayin'...Bob C.
