Cleaning the brass on the Colen Clentol square
Guys,
the brass on my CC square is made of rolled brass. I do store it with my GD square that measures all the other squares in a box that I made from scraps. My question is, what should I use to clean the rolled brass without damaging it? The normal brass cleaner is abrasive and would probably not be a good idea.
Regards
Les

I don't bother cleaning my CC gear Les apart from if a bit of glue gets on it.

Les, I am not sure if Colen coats the square with something. If in doubt it might be worth emailing him through Terry Gordon.
I haven't had to clean my gear for a while but usually just wipe it with camellia oil.
