    Nice lineup Peter.
I think maybe number 4 as it is the only one with a moulded handgrip behind the blade.
PS - the woodies arrived today Peter - many thanks.
    I really like the Preston.
    Cheers

Maybe number 6 is the only one with a laminated sole (rosewood/lignum etc).

    SG,
The Preston is a beauty, it won't take much to have it singing...happy they all arrived safely.

....The little one at the end has the same feature.

    Peter

    2, 3 and 6 are 2 piece bodies...
The other two are blond wood, hornbeam I think is what the Europeans usually used as the sole wood.

That little number 6 looks tiny.
I can imagine it being used one handed.
I would guess that it would be the only one with a front horn that can't be gripped with the left hand.

    SG,
That one is probably best used one handed...so if you are one of the sinister side, you would be using it left handed...
Not what I was looking for.

Luban....Who's grandfather asked him to pass the Bumplop...
My dad can open a beer bottle with whatever was within arms length, a skill he has dutifully passed down to his 4 sons. His usual tool was the tobacco tin, but almost anything could be used....side cutters, screwdriver, hammer...BBQ tongs....FJ door latch...
Its all a matter of leverage, and with a lever long enough you could lift the world.
One thing I never saw him use was a hand plane...and that one certainly would fail in that enterprise.

    close..but no cigar...

    Regards,
    Peter

    Crikey.
I have heard of spoke pointers but the only pix I've seen are all metal bits for a brace.
I'd like to see some more pictures of yours Peter.
    Thanks for listing it here.
