    Default Corsair

    Hi all.

Anyone own, or have an opinion on, a Corsair woodplane? Any good, mediocre, or just rubbish?

    Thanks, Vann.

Seemingly random question (assuming you have a Corsair hand plane), does it have a adjustment screw at the rear of the frog?
We don't know how lucky we are......

Hi Seanz. No I don't have one, just watching one. I can't tell from the photos.

It's probably rubbish, having modern "Buck Rodgers" plastic handles, and a philips head screw/nut holding the knob.

    Cheers, Vann.

The handles look painful. Corsair is Great Neck tool company product (says Google) so maybe one of our American friends might know something.

    Night.

Corsair planes are garbage, er, sorry, rubbish. I forget I'm down under when I post here. Pass on that tool, they are good only for doorstops.

Vann: if shipping from the US to y'all Down Under weren't so expensive and intimidating, I'd list in the market place some Stanley bench planes I'm slowly selling off. Hell of a lot better than Corsairs, for sure.
