I searched the web high and low and could not find a 12 - 20 tap and die. I went to the specialists in Toowoomba and finally found one that would make the tools for me, but at a cost of around $200 for the two: I am just not that obsessed. I even found Stewie's contact and emailed him, but alas he no longer has the stock.
Then I realised my error in that I was searching, not surfing: I'm not really up there with the technology . I plugged in several different searches without success. Then.......

The first six of you to buy now will be successful:

Or if you are close to me (geographically ) you can borrow mine when it arrives.

Oooh Matt. I hadn't thought of that! It would be so easy to just tap into it. It could be the death of me, but at least I would die trying.

Ahem (that's a coughin' reference). Funny thing is that where we used to live in NSW there was a creek at the back of the place and it was called Coffin Creek. I used to explain that the spelling was as in "stiff" not a "throat infection" .
Now what was this thread about again? Oh yes, cutting the slit in a saw handle. Just bringing things back on track after the rascals tried to derail it.
I am wondering if Twisted Tenon has bought any more saws. I have heard it can be infectious for the unwary.
