    You may also need to do something about the spring. If it has become weak it will let the half nut disengage. This may be the reason that this vice has been cannibalised to get another one working.

    Hey tony, if you have a chance to measure the flat bar section that would be great.

    Spoke with dawn today, i can get new nut but i have to get new thread and handle as well for it to work, and it will not be quick release. Last resort if i cant make something work 👍

    I would have given you the imperial measurements but they were funny numbers. Let me know if you want them. The hole for the nut/bolt is about 1/4" from the end and in the centre of the bar,

    In the second photo I've circled the plate that the bar sits on because I only discovered yesterday that bending this plate (outwards in my case, with a screw driver) made the quick release work better (it was binding previously).
