In 1974, when I was a Pup, with a couple of mates went on a trip to Cairns. At that time there was a push to "See Australia First" it had its own logo which was a stylised picture of Australia with the words "See Australia First".
As we traveled up the coast from Brisbane we came a cross a bloke who was from NSW. He drove a Holden 1 Tonner with a neat pantek body that was as high as the top of the cab. On the side of the cab he had (professionally done) the "See Australia First" logo but he had added "But See Narooma First!". (For those who don't know Narooma is a quiet little town on the south coast of NSW) He was a retired Carpenter, with the Tonny he pulled a caravan and slowly wandered along with his wife. To earn some cash along the way he started to sharpen saws. It turned out that he ended up with heaps of sharpening jobs everywhere he wentJust do it!
Kind regards Rod
