Has anyone had a look at or tried the planes being flogged by the toolexhange on ebay. His description is next to non-existent and the pictures aren't all that confidence inspiring
This is one of them 390123931628It takes an IQ of about 70 for a person to learn to tie a shoe lace. Now! I know why 98% of the population wears flip flops and or slip-ons.

Yes, and I'm a little taken aback by these offerings. Firstly they are the same planes out of the Chinese factory that has been ripping off designs from LN and LV (and the the ones on offer on eBay include a copy of a LN spokeshave and copy of a LV scraper), which makes for some contentiousness, and secondly it was my understanding that Stuart was not interested in selling these tools (as I believe he wrote elsewhere about a year ago) ..... ????

Yes these listings are also a little puzzling.
A Bedrock style 606 for AU$320 and a Bedrock style 605 for AU$415
606's are usually more expensive than 605's. An extra AU$95 for a bronze lever cap and a smaller plane seems odd.
Bear in mind that a new Lie Nielsen 605 is US$325 and it gets even more odd. At today's exchange rates that is about AU $360
I must be missing something here.

I've been wondering the same thing. I thought it looked like a Woodriver but there's a destinct lack of branding or name dropping by the seller.

Unusual tool
have a search including description for pom blub (or item 270493870806)
Interesting to see how it is used in a brace perhaps the flailing string could be used for cleaning out flower pots

well what are we all waiting for seems to be a genuine lucky dip, and if a good price is reached the lucky winner may get the rest of the jewels pick up only, so that gives the local blokes the edge.

If I bid on it I might win the cyclinder. I need a new one for my vacuum cleaner. Screw it, I'm gonna just put $500 on it in the off chance he throws in that extra 30kg bag
Then I'n going to sell each of these rare tools off, one by one, untill I can buy that new flat screen I've wanted for so long.

I saw this on another forum and thought you might be amused.
This was apparently posted on Ebay with a starting bid of US $12.
It achieved 2 bids and sold for just over $16.
I'm off to the markets to see if I can find something as rare

The price of scrap iron must have risen sharply recently!
.
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

It's not so much about weird item, but would you want to buy from this guy? At that price, you can buy a decent rust free vintage No.3, but no, you are no good unskilled amateur for passing this rusty plane Of course, no offense

That one has been listed a few times.. I did hover over the bid button for a second before I realized that it reminds me of the orrible carved nut cracker that sat on my grans mantle.. Scared the living snot out of me as a kid, I remember quickening my pace every time I walked past that mantle.
Still interesting though.Best regards, Luban
