I am reminded of the despicable Pardoner character from the Canterbury Tales. He travels the countryside pardoning poor folk and conning them out of their money. He blesses them with his "holy reliks", which in an unguarded moment he confides are a collection of dry sheep bones!

I think what we have here is a sheep's bone.

There seems to be some confusion in actually spotting Jesus .....

I contacted the seller to ask for clarification. His reply was that it was easier to see if rotated through 90 degrees. Sure enough he was spot on ..... it is so much clearer now. To make it easier for others I have circled Jesus to make it a little clearer ..... I think he is the one in the middle.

    Sir Stinky

I think you are having a lend of us. I think I will stick with the sheep's bones analogy, and allow that the seller has a vivid imagination more suited to abstract art.

    Nice drawing though.

As it happens, that's on the flip side.

Sorry to further hi-jack this, but I have devil veneer at home. I gave it a coat of lacquer because I found it interesting back in 1st year of apprenticeship. I may or may not have cut it from a full sheet also

Maybe you should all run down the local joinery and then off to Bunnies for some wheels. At that price we'd all make a killing.
