A saw to temp you!
If that plane will clean up, this saw should be a doozy.

Looks unused... before it was buried during WW2 in case the Japanese invaders pinched it.

The saw painters don't even want that one!
Unfortunately, they want the nice ones."Life would be infinitely happier if we could only be born at the age of eighty and gradually approach eighteen."

good price!
Yes, I saw this item when it was $103 (or so). It achieved a good price. "Retired Clubber" sells some good gear. I have a few chisels from Retired Clubber.
The eBay listings that achieve good prices should be shown to our wives and partners to prove "investing" in tools will pay off.

By jingoes! I'm rich! I think have a couple of them in the cupboard. Must go and look a bathe in the shine of my rusty gold.
Cheers,

A good honest listing but check out the repair.

Well, you have to give the "repairer" of the #6 credit for trying......
As the seller says, some useful parts, but I'm not quite sure what I'd do with 7 spokeshave blades and 6 lever caps - you don't wear out many of those in one lifetime....
And while the spare frog looks like a real one (machined on seat & toe as Mr. Bailey would have it), it's missing its lateral adjustment lever - I don't think it's a pre-adjuster model, but can't see the top of the frog clearly enough to be certain. And it would be useful to know for sure what size - I'd guess it's off a 4 1/2 or 6, comparing its size with the plane bodies behind it.
Makes you wonder what on earth happened to the spokeshave bodies all those bits came off??
Cheers,IW

For years I've been wondering where the caps and blades for the spokeshave bodies I see in 'rust rummage' boxes went to......
That listing is sort of tempting, spare parts are handy but the killer is the postage on the planes I don't want.We don't know how lucky we are......
