    Default Falcon 151 spokeshave

Hi I'm not into woodworking myself but have an old Falcon 151 spokeshave that came from my grandfather. I'm just wondering if anyone might be able to give me an indication of it's age? I also have an old thumb plane Dscf5004.jpgDscf5006.jpgDscf5007.jpg

Pope made planes and spokeshaves from 1946 to ~1957. From 1946 to early 1950's they were sold as "Falcon" or "Falcon-Pope", and hence just as "Pope". So yours dates to between 1946 and, say ~1952-53.

    Cheers, Vann.
