Old saws worth a recon
I got a few old saws from a mate that thought they were scrap. Any ideas on best way to recon them or if it worth it at all? All five are surface rusted, not sharp and 2 have cracked handles, i think they are out of the US originally. Is a scotch brite pad worth a go?
If not might just use them as decoration.....lets see how that goes down with the other half.

Welcome to the world of rust.
I use wet and dry sandpaper and CRC on saw blades to get rid of the rust. It's not the only way but it probably does the least damage compared to the chemical methods. I start with 300 or 400 grit.....
As for the cracks in the handles, a picture says a thousand words.
We don't know how lucky we are......
