Hey Harry.
There is an excellent book available on making hand planes, spokeshaves and a range of other workshop equipment. The book was written by Jim Kingshot and focuses on building super high quality ( one of his handmade planes has been valued at 4000 English pounds )and there are tools in there that will make you drool. Unfortunately I am unsure of the title but a search of your library database will reveal it. Good luck and have fun
