Harold & Saxon chisel orders
Was wondering if anyone had any chisel orders pending with Harold & Saxon?
I know Trent has been through some tough times of late with health issues, so this has undoubtedly put the man under a fair bit of pressure to furnish outstanding orders he might have on the books.
I do hope that he is on the up & up with his health ,also with being able to meet his clientele's orders that he currently has on the books.
I last heard from him July last year when he said I would have the I order I have with him before Christmas.
I am awaiting news from him to see if my order is forthcoming.
CheersJohnno

I'm still waiting for mine but I'm not worried as I know fencefurniture is on the job and it's just a matter of time. Anyhow, sometimes you have to wait for the best.

G'day Johnno
His health is much improved and he has moved into a shed that has 3 phase power in Brisbane (which means he can run more than one surface grinder).
Sets for the bulk order are now trickling out (there are 28 sets of 7 to finish), with two sets delivered so far and two more about to go out. Alas, one of them is not for Superbunny .
I learnt *quite some time ago* that Trent is rather optimistic with his time-frames (even when it gets really close, like within a few months).
Actually, I knew that all along.

I'm not waiting on H&S Chisels, just other peoples photos.
I think some people may have ordered the "New Cabinet Range – Coming Soon"
There is no proper photo up of these only a indicative styling shot…..Live a Quiet Life & Work with your Hands

Nice photo's of some of Trent's really fine work, likely one like those sets will be mine hopefully soon.
They were ordered in 2011.
These will compliment the other set I have of his,he does produce a fine keen tool such a rarity in this day & age in Australia for hand tools.

I picked up an unused set of 7 H & S beveled edge chisels in a nice leather roll (even came with a cleaning cloth) on eBay a couple of years ago, some months after the group buy (I was overseas when the group buy came on and missed it). Very nice chisels; I was surprised that I was the only bidder, and starting at well under 1/2 new price. Looking at the current product range, the only difference seems to be that on mine the larger sizes have hoops on the handles.
Cheers

I ordered my set in November. At the time Trent told me six months (approximately). I'm not worried. It took me a long time to save up for a set of H&S, and I've NEVER heard anything other than good things about Trent. Yes, I paid a hefty deposit, and yes it would hurt if he didn't produce the goods, but I have absolutely no cause for concern. Really, considering how good the chisels appear to be, I don't care how long it takes...
By the way, the tipping point for ordering a set was actually handling some of his chisels. Pictures only go so farrrrr....Warm Regards, Luckyduck

Like most in the group buy, I'm waiting for my set too. Trent has had so many things hinder his tool production. He is a great fellow and will make good. His tools are worth the wait....
I've even got another order for some more chisels that he'll start some time after the group buys sets are done and dusted. I have a few of his tools already so I know they are worth waiting for.
